Make an Improvement, Make a Resolution

It’s January, the first month of a brand new year, and that means a fresh beginning. It’s kind of like the first day of school – you get to start with a new routine, new clothes, and fresh pencils. This is the month when lots of people (maybe even your friends or your parents) make decisions to do things a little differently.

These decisions are called resolutions. Many people make resolutions to improve something about themselves and to do something in a better way. The point is to encourage healthy or positive habits in little steps.

For example, people make resolutions to exercise more or go on a diet or to stop a bad habit. They’ll do that to improve their health. Kids can get into the resolution spirit, too.

You might resolve to focus a little more on your schoolwork. Or you might decide to spend a little less money and save a little more. That’s one habit that will help to improve the health of your finances.
